Who is responsible for your information
Crufitures by Karine, trading as Crufitures by Karine, decides how your personal information is used — the Data Protection Act 2017 calls this the controller. Reach us at karine@crufiture.mu or St Croix, Port Louis.
What we collect
- Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address.
- What you ordered, when, and what you paid.
- The messages you send us, through the contact form or by email, and our replies.
- Payment status from our payment provider. Full card numbers stay with the provider — they never reach us.
- Basic technical information such as your IP address and browser, which we need to keep the shop working and secure.
Why we use it
To take and fulfil your order, take payment, answer your questions, keep the tax and accounting records the law requires, and — only if you asked for it — send you marketing. We do not sell your information.
Messages and our newsletter
When you write to us we keep your message, our replies and your contact details together with any orders you have placed, so that whoever answers can see the whole conversation.
We only send you our newsletter if you ask for it by ticking the box at checkout, on the contact form or in the newsletter sign-up. Writing to us or buying something does not sign you up. We record when and where you agreed, every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and after you unsubscribe we send you no more.
Who we share it with
Only the suppliers who make the shop work: our payment providers, couriers, email delivery service and hosting provider, each of whom may only use it to do that job. Some of them process information outside Mauritius; we use providers that offer comparable protection.
How long we keep it
Order, payment and tax records for as long as the Mauritius Revenue Authority requires them to be kept. Marketing consent until you withdraw it. Everything else for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it.
Your rights
You may ask us what we hold about you, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email karine@crufiture.mu and we will respond. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Office in Mauritius, or to the data protection authority where you live.
